Why is Jimi Hendrix unappreciated amongst blacks?

I understand lot of black people aren't into Rock, but even Chuck Berry is talked about more than him. Its always the usual, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Michael Jackson, Berry White, John Coltrane, Nat King Cole. Its crazy because Prince is heavily inspired by him. I personally think he's the most talented out of all the black musicians artist along with Prince and MJ.
